A Dose of Care: PANADO® SHARES A DOSE OF CARE WITH MENTZ READING CLUB
Panado® recognises that today’s learners are tomorrow’s leaders. As such, through ‘A Dose Of Care’ journey, Panado® is honouring MENTZ Reading Paradise, a literacy initiative based in Polokwane that promotes reading for enjoyment and education as a whole.
Reading crosses socioeconomic status, race, age, and gender. It is a free journey on a magic carpet to wherever on Earth (or beyond) at any time. Every child, regardless of age or aptitude, should have access to written language. Readers who develop a lifelong appreciation for literature are not just adept at decoding, segmenting, and blending, but also have a genuine appreciation for the power of prose. In order to foster a lifelong appreciation for reading, it is essential that communities foster a robust reading culture.
Panado’s®‘ ‘A Dose of Care’ campaign wants to share a dose of care with those who really need it. Together with the Afternoon Express, they’re sharing the work of do-gooders by lifting others and helping promote a reading culture through ‘A Dose Of Care’ journey.
Palesa Tembe, host of Afternoon Express, spent a morning with Charles Makoela, a reading facilitator at MENTZ Reading Paradise, and saw the amazing work he and fellow volunteers are doing to foster a love of reading among the youth within their community.

When asked to choose someone to receive ‘A Dose Of Care’ matched by Afternoon Express, Charles chose to double up, nominating MENTZ Reading Paradise with the goal of providing more books for the children to read.
If you are able, share of dose care whenever and wherever you can, because you never know the struggles of the next person and how you could pay forward some joy.
